enjoyable stay but some improvements needed
The brasserie offered a well-cooked meal that exceeded my expectations. All staff presented themselves as enthusiastic and willing to help, which reflected well on the hospitality.
The room lacked some necessary amenities that would have enhanced comfort.

The Classic Double Room was spacious and had a massive, comfy bed that made it easy to sleep well. It was a bit warm without air conditioning, but a fan was provided, which helped a lot. The overall look of the room felt a tad dated, especially the bathroom, but it was clean and had everything we needed. Plus, coffee and tea were available, which is always a bonus!

the staff were super friendly and really helped us out, made my son feel special. the room was lovely, very comfy beds and clean. The breakfast was a treat! loved that we could just walk in and it felt fresh with the windows open.
The only downside was the thin pillows and duvets. would be nice to have something a bit cozier for our family stay.

Just a strong match for a weekend break in York with good value for price. The grounds are beautiful, perfect for a stroll. Consider asking for a room away from the roadside for a quieter night.

Had a blast staying here with my friends! The location was perfect, close to the National Railway Museum and the beautiful parks. The rooms were spacious, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff were super friendly. Plus, the free parking was a nice bonus. Totally recommend for a fun group getaway!
One of the bathrooms had a really loud extractor fan that was pretty annoying, making it hard to relax. Would have been better if that was sorted out.

Great for families looking to relax
The food was surprisingly good, especially the fish and chips I had in the evening which was cooked perfectly without being greasy. And let me tell you, the kids got their meals quickly and were satisfied without any fuss, which is rare, right?
It wasn’t exactly cheap, but honestly, it was still acceptable for the amenities and services provided.

Comfortable Stay with Friendly Service
Enjoyed my stay with my family. The staff were incredibly helpful, especially when we needed a room change. Breakfast was a delight with a wide selection, but dinner options were limited due to a large group. Be sure to reserve for the restaurant in advance!
